A small group of musicians in a quiet little college town named Forest Grove, inspired by people who have been diagnosed with terminal cancer, set out to sing about the power of prayer. During this year long journey, even their most heartfelt prayers were surpassed by God’s Grace. The title track “Mustard Seed” was written by Jeff Pettit in the winter of 2006 for several friends with cancer. Several months later through God’s plan, Jeff was watching a video about a little village in Bosnia Herzegovina called Medjugorje, where Our Lady has been appearing to six children for the past 25 years. One of the early messages given to the children was to surrender to God, and to begin by reading Mathew 6: 24-34. After the movie, Jeff went to the Bible to read the scripture and much to his surprise it was the scripture-based lyrics to his song “Mustard Seed”, that he had written several months earlier! The message and scripture was about not worrying about your future and to let God take care of you. This sign called Jeff to go to Medjugorje to find out for himself what it was all about. The Holy Spirit came to Jeff on that trip and upon returning he was inspired to produce this CD and a video “Message from Medjugorje” about this most important supernatural event. 

Singer and Song writer, Patty Tasa, diagnosed with terminal cancer, recorded two of the songs on the CD, as she herself went through a miraculous turnaround from cancer. During this time her cancer shrunk to a level that could be operated on, and she was soon pronounced cancer free!

The lyrics to “Surrender to God’s Love”, the fifth track are crafted from actual messages from Our Lady over the years. The Blessed Mother is asking each one of us to abandon ourselves to God, and discover His Love.  Join this small group of musicians as they share their songs written from the heart, each with its own testimony to God’s Grace.
